This spring, East Austin students came together to form the first team to represent their community in the Central Texas Youth Lacrosse League (CTYLA). These students come from three schools – one public, one charter and one private.  While thirty-five kids came to at least one practice to give lacrosse a try, over the course of the year, we have developed a core group of eighteen players on this inaugural team.

The New Horizons Tomahawks is made up of both 6^th and 7^th graders allowing us to compete in the Junior (7^th/8^th) Blue Division. We are playing an abbreviated schedule against Cedar Park, Vista Ridge, St Gabriel and Round Rock. We want to thank these teams for traveling to us, allowing us to schedule all home games, and displaying great sportsmanship. We are looking forward to a competitive year and full 2015 season.
