Fulmore Middle School expands lacrosse to include boys.

The Afterschool Centers on Education (ACE) of the Austin Independent School District expanded their existing lacrosse program at Fulmore Middle School by starting a boys component this fall. The program will meet once a week with students in an after-school setting designed to bolster both academics and extracurricular involvement by students. New Horizons Lacrosse Fund (NHLF)  assisted ACE by loaning used and new equipment  for use during the lacrosse portion of the program.  A goal was provided through a grant by Friends of Central Texas Lacrosse (FoCTL). Each program will utilize regulation equipment (different for boys than girls) and will teach regulation rules (different for boys than girls). Formation of teams, that play in local leagues will be dependent upon growing numbers, commitment and enthusiasm for lacrosse at the campus. Fulmore MS is a Title I school in central Austin that serves a high percentage of low income families.
