Lacrosse at Eastside Memorial High School gathers momentum.

New Horizons Lacrosse (NHLF), renewed it’s support for the fledgling lacrosse program started at Eastside Memorial High School (EMHS) last year. Under the guidance of EMHS teacher, Greg Weber, this year more than a dozen boys have become involved with Panther Lacrosse.  Through agreement with LBJ High School Boys Lacrosse and in accordance with Texas High School Lacrosse League (THSLL) rules, interested players at EMHS are practicing and will compete with the LBJ/LASA Boys Lacrosse Team.  New Horizons Lacrosse Fund has secured insurance coverage for sponsored players and has provided used and new equipment to a dozen players including players from LBJ High School.

Eastside Memorial (Green Tech and Global – EMHS) is a federally funded Title I school in East Austin.  The original campus, under the name of Johnston HS,  was re-purposed by the Texas Education Agency (TEA) recently. LBJ High School (LBJ HS ) is a stand-alone, Title I component at a dual-school campus setting. That campus also contains LBJ Arts and Science Academy (LASA) magnet school program.
