New Horizons Lacrosse collaborated with the After-school Centers for Education (ACE) program on a field trip in May.   Eight (8) young men attended the Texas High School Lacrosse League (THSLL) to see some of the best high school lacrosse in Texas at the State Championships held in Georgetown/Round Rock. As is customary, the weather was hot and the lacrosse was good. For some of these fellows it was the first lacrosse game they had attended. The enthusiasm of a Texas High School competition was not lost on them as they watched two teams from other parts of Texas compete for a Championship.  Some wondered how San Antonio could also  have a “Reagan” High School and where is  Klein anyway?

After exhausting the liquids and more healthy snacks provided to them, there was a full-on assault on the local snack bar. With this bunch, you had to eat fast and pay close attention to your snacks. There may not be many nachos left but it looks like there was one at the bottom. After sugary/cheesy snack what comes next? Entertainment in the stands! I  managed to catch a little of this particular dance performance. It was entertaining to several on-lookers and just what was needed at one a timeout.
